About Anita
This is Anita's first animal book, and appropriately, it's about another "first": her
first cat. As a lifelong dog person, Anita never expected to fall head over heels
for a feline, but then Cooper strutted into her life with attitude, charm, and just
enough mischief to inspire an entire book.
Writing this story has been a true family affair. With help from her imaginative
grandson Jesse and plenty of editorial interruptions from Cooper himself (usually
involving sitting directly on the keyboard), Anita brought this quirky, heartfelt
tale to life.
She hopes readers whether lifelong cat devotees, rescue animal lovers or curious
newcomers to the world of twitching whiskers, midnight zoomies, and sun drenched
window perches will delight in the spirited adventures, sly humor, and tender,
whiskertangled chaos that naturally follow when a cat not only claims the couch, but
takes full command of the story.
